First snow has fallen
Brisk air, cold breeze
Whiskey for the body
Fire for the soul
Hello Winter

A Memory
In the whisper of the night
I hear your voice
In the warmth of the sun
I feel your embrace
A distant dream
One I carry with me every hour
of every day
I hear your voice
In the warmth of the sun
I feel your embrace
A distant dream
One I carry with me every hour
of every day

A Sacred Land
A million people have lived and died here.
A land sacred to their kind.
I can feel their presence.
I can smell their past.
As though no time has past we are welcomed. Onto their land into their homes.
It is here I feel you.
The other half of my soul.
I ache for that presence.
Crave it's warmth.
Here souls are bound for eternity.
Here... love lasts forever.

Hello Friend
It came to me tonight...
Crisp air
Smell of fire burning
Crickets sing softer
Wind softly whispering
Like an old friend
I welcomed it.
Embraced it.
Fall...I missed you.

To my friends on their wedding day
She saw him in a dream once.
His presence quickened her heart.
When he met her, she brought him back to life and lit a light brighter than the sun.
His soul spoke to her.
It told her he would belong to her.
The heavens shined down on them.
Blessed them with all the love two people could share.
Now, and for eternity they will walk together.
Hand in hand
Heart to heart
Forever in each other arms.
Always in each others heart.
Night sky
The moon has risen.
Bold and beautiful.
Shining down on a million dreams
I sit in its light
Awaiting slumber
Summer air soaked in sweated skin feels my senses.
Memories wash over me
Like waves from a steady tide.
That broken piece inside wakes
Sleep. Sleep.
Such beautiful times...
Always bring me to you.
Dream of me.

Remind Us
"Mama, is everyone's bones white?"
Yes, my love.
"Is everyone's blood red?"
Yes, my love.
"Then why did God paint us all different colors and shapes? Why did he give some things to some and not to others?"
To Remind us.
"To remind us of what Mama?"
To remind us... what we have, others may not, so be grateful. That we can learn from each other and our differences. And to remind us that love is many colors, shapes and sizes. But in the end, it is all still love.
"Man Mama, I bet he gets really mad sometimes."
Why love?
"Because everyone keeps forgetting."
-Remember to love the different. Or live a loveless life.

My song
Like the crickets sing to night sky,
And stars twinkle by the moon so bright.
Your love has lit a light my soul,
My heart sings a song only you know.
If I Had Wings
If I had wings, I would fly over the heavens and beyond.
The clouds my bed, the sky my home.
Away from the ugly, the evil, the sad.
No judgement. No questions. No heartache.
Only the sun, stars, and moon would know me.
They would shine on me, give me light in my darkness.
If only I had wings.
The clouds my bed, the sky my home.
Away from the ugly, the evil, the sad.
No judgement. No questions. No heartache.
Only the sun, stars, and moon would know me.
They would shine on me, give me light in my darkness.
If only I had wings.

Wind
She was standing in the cold, wondering about life and love. After she asked herself the question she knew she might not want the answer to... The wind picked up. She asked herself... Does wind whisper words of wisdom, words of nonsense, or does it whisper words at all?........
"perhaps wind whispers the truths that our souls long to hear and our minds hide from our heart"...
"perhaps wind whispers the truths that our souls long to hear and our minds hide from our heart"...
Solace...
Crystal clear darkness.
Stars burn through the night sky.
Air Crisp, chills my flesh.
My mind wonders to places I have been,
Feelings I have felt.
My mistakes I own.
My misfortunes try to understand.
Heart broken,
Soul aching for peace,
Body craving warmth
Loneliness is what I feel,
Solace is what I need...
Find me.

A Father's Prayer
I wrote this for someone who means the world to me. A very strong, brave man. They will be home soon. They are warriors, like you.
A Father's Prayer
They stand on a wall, so we can sleep at night.
They learn to fight and kill to protect our rights.
They live by a code and die for the same.
You love them for bravery, duty and fame.
I love them for more and call them other names.
These men are much more than soldiers to me.
They're more than their duty and bravery you see.
These men are my sons, my life and my soul.
You thank them for duty, I pray they come home.
So don't just pray for our soldiers tonight.
Pray for my sons as they stand up and fight.
Pray their mother gets to hold them again, that they get to throw a ball with theirs sons in the end. We all come from somewhere, we all can fight, we all love our soldiers who protect us at night.
So here's to our soldiers, warriors and sons, we love you for all you will ever become.
Go fight our battles, go make us proud, then get your asses back home....
safe and sound.

Rain
Rain on the window.
Cleansed air, cool breeze.
Blankets, soft against skin.
Candle light dances on walls.
Almost perfection.
An absence, a void.
You.

Winter
It was winter now.
Colder.
Even as her bones turned to ice,
she could still feel his warmth.
And though it felt like he was a thousand miles away from her embrace.
She could still feel him.
Standing in the same cold.
Wishing on the same stars.
Colder.
Even as her bones turned to ice,
she could still feel his warmth.
And though it felt like he was a thousand miles away from her embrace.
She could still feel him.
Standing in the same cold.
Wishing on the same stars.
